    Seems very sturdy. I like the infinitely controllable dial for heat setting. The light comes on when it is heating and cycles off with the thermostat. Heating surface edge to edge diameter is just shy of 6". First try was with a stainless steel saucepan with glass lid that fit the diameter of the heating surface perfectly. You could probably use a little larger pot but be careful not to make the pan become unstable. Power cord is a bit over 32" not counting the plug. I'm experimenting with "pour-over" coffee method. Using digital thermometer it took 12 minutes to 180 degrees and 15 minutes to boil for 36 ounces of water, which is the 8-cup marker on my coffee pot. Body measure about 8.5" x 8.5" not counting knob. From tabletop to tip top of burner surface is just under 3.5". This would be great to throw in a bag and take to a party to keep your dish hot. Also a nice extra burner to have when cooking a large holiday meal. Pic of the bottom side label looks funny, but is very shiny black. It is sitting on a yellow nylon cutting board which is reflecting in the paint. I turned it on low and have my Mr. Coffee decanter on the WARM setting to keeping my coffee warm. (Not recommended) DON'T TRY TO BOIL WATER IN YOUR COFFEE DECANTER. I will be using a digital timer to plug the unit into so it will automatically turn on off. Compared to other units I looked at, decided I couldn't go wrong with this unit for the price. Hope it lasts a long time.

    It's not big, great if u live in small apt and have little none counter space. so light weight j can hold it with one hand and I'm a petite person. 7 temperature controls and heats up fast. Even distribution of heat.I got this for an emergency which is what I'm having now. No gas to cook in my buildingThis is a great buy so don't hesitate

    I live in a garage with no stove so I needed this and it works really good. And it heats up quick, it’s really good for simple meals I like it :)
