I bought this fabric shaver last year, but life got busy, and I wound up setting it aside and hadn't used it yet. But, lately I've run into an issue with a sheet set I have that was only a little over a year old. It wasn't an expensive set, but I've never had problems with cheap sheet sets before, even the very cheap sets sold at big retailers. So, I was surprised to find that the fairly new set was pilling all over like crazy. Genuinely, it was getting so bad that the sheets were uncomfortable to sleep on. Then I remembered the fabric shaver I'd bought, and I decided to see if it would work on the sheets. It did an amazing job! They almost feel like new again, back to the smooth texture they are supposed to be.As the instructions state, it's best to use the shaver on a flat surface, so the fabric doesn't bunch. I would suggest emptying the chamber of the fuzz fairly often, because the spinning blades create some slight suction that sucks the fuzz back towards the blade, and it might eventually jam the blades if you don't clear it. For the sheets, at least, I found that moving the shaver in small circles seemed the most effective way to get all the pills. Attached is a picture of what came off of the sheets, in about an hour of work. The penny is for size comparison. (I feel like I've just sheared a sheep. I could practically knit a sweater.) I look forward to trying the shaver on other fabrics that are also pilling. I might even get a second shaver because, given how well this worked, I want to make sure I have one on hand in the future.

I recently purchased a Cynthia Crowley throw blanket on eBay and apparently it was a little more used than was advertised. anyway I really wanted to keep the blanket; it just had a lot of pills on it, so I ordered this fabric shaver and just went to work on it and it’s actually a nice blanket. The shaver turned a sad situation into a good situation. The shaver comes with three razor attachments all the same size - 1 is in the shaver when it arrives but you also get 2 replacements for when the 1st one wears out. It comes with a brush and live chat and manual documentation. The shaver has two different settings: zero which is off, one which is light and two which is more heavy duty.

I never write reviews; I know everyone says that, but I don’t. This thing is a miracle worker!! The right side of the sweater is treated and the left side isn’t. I’ve thrown out pieces because my farmers were pilling and now there is a solution. It took a few tries to get used to it and it’s by no means perfect but it for sure gets rid of the obvious pills. I’m sure with more time I will get better at it. It’s extremely satisfying to use too! Curious how the blades will do with wear and tear. For first time use, this product has my stamp of approval. The motor sounds like a mini let blower, other than that it’s great.
